Пациент находится в Вологде. Это 500 км к северу от Москвы.
До травмы передвигался самостоятельно с дополнительной опорой (трость). Имеется укорочение ноги 15 см.

I would re-iterate suggestion for a fixed angle cable plate with cortical allograft struts around the prosthetic femur. Zimmer (and others) make them. The cables get purchase to the shaft by 1) go through horizontal slots in the plate or 2) onto grooves in the plate. The struts would be fixed by the cables too and keep the metal cables physically away from the metal prosthesis to minimize galvanic or fretting corrosion.
Positive bone operation, which should be the case for him whenever possible.
Impressive that he has functioned so long with a prosthetic femur shaft and knee joint. What is the etiology of the shortness? Acute at the time of resection or lack of growth or other?
Sounds like he and others are very attached to this limb.
Quite a case.
